Day Location Description
Arrive in Beijing Upon arrival, meet your Beijing tour guide and transfer to the Presidential Hotel Beijing.
Beijing (B/L) The first full day of your Beijing tour package begins with a visit to incredible nearby monuments. Tiananmen, the fourth largest city square in the world meaning “Gate of Heavenly Peace”, the entrance gate to the Forbidden City, and Zhengyangmen. The Forbidden City, the world’s largest surviving palace complex, is currently a palace museum filled with exquisite treasures. This is what comes to mind when one envisions Emperors in ancient Imperial China. Next stop on the tour is the Summer Palace. Located about 20 kilometres from the city centre, the Summer Palace is a stunning imperial estate that houses many diverse gardens, palaces, classical-style buildings, and the man-made Kunming Lake. The palace contains over 3,000 separate buildings surrounded by hills, paths, and lakes. You’ll see why this is where Qing royalty chose to spend their leisure time here.
Beijing (B/L) For your third day on our Beijing tour, you have a chance to visit the Great Wall of China. Your Beijing tour schedules a two-hour visit to the popular Badaling Section. En route, the tour will visit a jade stone workshop. On the way back, you can enjoy a photo op at the Olympic landmarks, which include the National Stadium and the Water Cube. Designed to be suggestive of harmony with nature, the National Stadium is shaped like a giant bird’s nest (it’s also known as Bird’s Nest Stadium). It has become a landmark for modern China—and a must-see on any China tour. The Beijing National Aquatic Center, also known as the Water Cube, is an aquatic center that was built alongside the National Stadium on the Olympic Green. No less visually striking, it’s also a great sight to see. On the first evening of your Beijing tour package, you have the opportunity to see the Legend of Kung Fu Show with Peking Duck dinner. The show, set thousands of years ago in the mysterious Middle Kingdom, recounts the legendary origins of the martial art kung fu. It introduces us to a young boy in an ancient temple perched on a high mountain, who reaches enlightenment through practice of Zen Buddhism and kung fu. This professional performance features an unforgettable story and real kung fu action. The price of admission is $70 US pp not covered by the Beijing tour package. Prices are additional.
Beijing (B/L) On the fourth day of your Beijing tour package, you’ll visit the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is China's best-known temple. Here, emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests, made sacrifices and worshipped heaven. A wall encloses the whole area, with a round section in the north (representing heaven) and a half-square section in the south (representing earth). After the temple tour, you’ll have a chance to visit Tiantan Park, where many locals enjoy daily life as they sing, dance, play sports and practice martial arts. After this, the Beijing tour continues at a pearl factory. The next stop in your Beijing vacation package is a Beijing hutong. A hutong is a form of neighbourhood unique to China. Speeding through these narrow alleys in a traditional Chinese pedi cab, you’ll get a glimpse of the old Beijing , plus the chance to meet a local family!
Day 5 Depart Beijing (B) After breakfast, your Beijing vacation is nearly over. Bid Beijing farewell as you are transferred to the airport for your flight home.
