In 1992, Lars Wikander and Mike McDowell were two adventurers with a dream of visiting one of the few places on Earth they hadn't explored: The North Pole. Once there, they were struck by its pristine beauty and inspired to share their experience with fellow explorers. Not long after this pioneering journey, Quark Expedition launched with the first-ever tourist transit of the Northeast Passage.
Today, Quark makes visiting the Arctic and Antarctica possible for travelers from all over the world. The spirit of exploration runs deep in their polar pedigree and they are passionate about helping fellow adventurers experience these regions, whose purity transcends boundaries and whose beauty defies description.
