Cruise Itinerary Details
14 Night Exotic Caribbean, Caribbean Princess
Departs: San Juan, Puerto Rico Arrives: San Juan, Puerto Rico
The fourth Grand-class ship, Caribbean Princess will enter service April 17, 2004. Originally announced as Crown Princess the name change is fitting as the vessel will sail year-round from Ft. Lauderdale on alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. At 116,000-tons, Caribbean Princess is 7,000 tons larger than the other Grand-class ships Grand, Golden and Star Princess. Caribbean Princess will boast nearly 900 cabins with balconies, the largest number of any ship afloat. A unique feature of the new vessel will be ‘Dive-In-Movies’ shown under the stars on a giant, Times Square-style screen by the swimming pool. Other features of the ship will be a new Caribbean-themed alternative restaurant, Princess’ trademark Italian trattoria, Lotus Spa, four pools, three separate show lounges, an Internet café and a wedding chapel where couples can be married at sea by the captain. Caribbean Princess’ Western itineraries call at Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios (or Montego Bay), Cozumel and Princess Cays, the line’s private island in the Bahamas. Ports for the alternating Eastern Caribbean itinerary are St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Princess Cays.
